Capitol Threads (“we”, “us”) is a custom embroidery and print shop in Sacramento, California. This policy explains what information we collect when you use capitolthreads.co and place an order, and how we use it.

What we collect

• Order and contact details — your name, email, shipping or pickup details, and anything you type into an order (sizes, names and numbers, notes).
• Your artwork and designs — files you upload and the designs you create in the studio, including mockup previews.
• Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. Your full card number goes directly to Stripe and is never seen or stored by us. We receive confirmation of payment, the amount, and your billing/shipping details.
• Basic technical data — our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and to prevent abuse.

How we use it

We use your information only to quote, proof, produce, ship and support your order; to email you order confirmations, proofs and shipping updates; to prevent fraud and abuse; and to meet legal and tax obligations.

We never sell your personal information and we never reuse your artwork for anyone else.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that help us run the shop, and only what they need:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Netlify — website hosting and order storage
• Resend — sending order and shipping emails
• Shipping carriers (such as USPS, UPS or FedEx) — your name and address to deliver your package

We may also share information if required by law.

Cookies and storage

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser stores a short list of your recent order numbers on your device so you can track them easily, and Stripe uses its own cookies during checkout for security and fraud prevention.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfill your order and for our tax and accounting records. You can ask us to delete your artwork and personal details at any time, unless we're required to keep them by law.

Your rights (including California residents)

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We don't sell or share personal information for advertising. We won't treat you differently for making a request.

Children

Our shop is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
